The first part of this document consists of a letter from the Creek Nation presented before "the board," or Executive Council of Georgia, of which Handley was secretary. Discusses whether the people will make their payments on time, and the consequences of not doing so. Also discusses many of his concerns about managing the land and paying the appropriate taxes.

Copy of multiple letters. Appears to be correspondences between Henry Knox, Joseph Copeland, and Moses Copeland regarding Knox's Eastern lands. Knox complains about people cutting his timber on the Warren lands and requests Joseph Copeland's assistance. Asks Joseph Copeland to find evidence and prosecute the trespassers. A note from one of the Copeland's agreeing to Knox's request is also included. Knox also discusses a deed that is part of the Waldo patent lands. A table with a list of names and acres owned is also provided. A portion of the letter is a duplicate of GLC02437.07499.

Also lists six petitioners who reside on Knox's land and who fought on the British side during the [Revolutionary] War.

Winslow tells Secretary of War Henry Knox that two men, Samuel Noyes and Adams Merrill, want to buy some lots of land in Falmouth which Major Merrill had previously applied for. One is also interested in the 104 acres of Piscataqua that Winslow thinks is worth 24 cents an acre. There is a dispute over land owned by Bartholomew and David Thompson among their family. J. Cox has petitioned to partition the eight hundred acres he purchased at Auction.

They have been consulting on the Waldo patent business for the past several days and have brought Mr. Erving and Waldo "to a determination." Says they agreed in helping them dispose of the patent, but they wish to retain the island to accommodate Mr. Erving. The Winslows want to make a quiet settlement with the people who inhabit the island, writing, "Its a very desirable thing with both of us, to hold a farm on the Island and to make the settlers happy ... Offering ten thousand dollars up front and ten thousand more a year later for the full share. Gives Winslow sixty days to accept or reject his offer.
