Writes to tell Knox that "application has been made to the Quarter Master for Teams to transport the Iron selected" by Captain [Thomas] Patton to Burlington, New Jersey. The Quartermaster replied that as navigation will soon be opened, it might make sense not to transport it right away by land unless it is absolutely necessary. Boyer informs Knox that he told the Quarter Master that it was necessary to send it right way, and he "doubt[s] not of Capt. Patten's receiving a speedy Supply."

Relates the story of Aaron Swetland and Charles Treat, who had been clerks in Colonel [possibly Jeduthan] Baldwin's regiment of artificers at the pay grade of Sergeant. Relates the ways builders might construct it to limit the jostling and bumpiness felt while riding on a rough road, and also types of curtains they might use to limit the wind's effects.

Lists quantities of various types of ordnance remaining after the siege of Yorktown including ordnance "taken from the English." Also gives a proposed breakdown between stores held by Colonel Edward Carrington, the state of Virginia, and Philadelphia. A note on the final page indicates that 1,000 arms and accoutrements and 250,000 musket cartridges are to be sent by Carrington to Nathanael Greene, and some to North Carolina.
