Title: Report of the committee, to whom was referred the petition of Daniel Boone together with the resolutions of the legislature of the state of Kentucky, relative to said petition.

Printed by Roger C. Weightman. Boone sought a grant of land in the Missouri territory. The committee cites Boone's service to the United States, his willingness to face peril, his contribution to western settlement, and his current state of poverty. Authorizes that Boone's wish is granted, and that he receive a grant of land. Also states that the committee has corresponded with the legislature of Kentucky regarding creation of a Boone memorial. This pamphlet's pages are separated.

Acknowledges the appointment of an agent to the Choctaw Indian Nation. Expresses gratitude that the treaty he and Isaac Shelby brokered with the Chickasaws met with then Secretary of War Calhoun's approval. In the treaty, the Chickasaw relinquished their claims to land east of the Mississippi River and north of the Mississippi state line and were given a $20,000, fifteen-year annuity. Notes that if Ball hires Crow as an overseer on his own farm, he must be strict. Writes that he has heard that the General Land Office is going to be given to Illinois and that Thomas Ewing, the Secretary of the Interior, wants Justin Butterfield to be appointed. Lincoln advises that this would be a great mistake. "I give you my word, the appointment of Mr. B will be an egregious political blunder. It will give offense to the whole whig party here, and be worse than a dead loss to the administration of so much patronage." Lincoln then recommends himself or his candidate for the position. Lincoln was not granted the position.

One document dated April 2, 1834. An agreement between James Cox, his wife Nancy and Matthew S. Marsh and Charles Clark. Also lists six petitioners who reside on Knox's land and who fought on the British side during the [Revolutionary] War.
