Countersigned by Isreal Putnam, of Bunker Hill fame, on verso. Cosigned by William Pitkin, Thomas Seymour (who was mayor of Hartford from 1774-1812), and Oliver Ellsworth (when this was signed he was a member of the Connecticut legislature and later U.S. Senator and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court), of the Pay-Table Committee in Connecticut. The committee was responsible for raising money for the colony during the Revolution. To the Treasurer of Connecticut, John Lawrence.
