Includes a note at the top of the page, in Shaw's hand, from Jonathan Pugh, Lieutenant of Invalids, which reads, "This is to certify that Mrs. Margaret Corbin (wife of John Corbin a soldier in the corps of Invalids) has not drawn any liquor with the ration allowed her since the 1st Jany 1782." Major Gibbs serves as president. Contains the detailed proceedings of the trial of a group of soldiers from Constitution Island who broke into the home and store of David Sands, a Quaker. According to GLC02437.02948, they "abused his Wife, and plundered his Store," stealing goods and money. The Court rules that two of the soldiers must suffer death (Samuel E. Andrews and Samuel Sanders), three other participants are to receive "one hundred lashes on their naked backs at four different times," and the other participant should receive "one hundred lashes on his naked back."

The letter is signed by Andrew Craigie and his wife, Elizabeth Craigie. Alice Pollard signed as a witness and Aaron Hill signed as a witness and Justice of Peace. Craigie vouches that he received $10 from Henry Knox and releases all rights and "quit claimed" a tract of land (11,520 acres) located next to Henry and Lucy Knox's land (likely the Waldo patent lands). A very detailed description of the location and boundaries of the land is provided. Thomas Cobb noted at the bottom of the second page that the document was received and recorded. "30 March 1802" is noted on the docket.

Certifies that, as Surgeon General of the Army in 1777, Cochran had the right of appointing assistant surgeons when necessary, and that he did appoint Dr. Jonathan Horton as assistant to Dr. Stafford in the state of New Jersey. Specifies what pay Horton was offered. Certifies that Horton died, while in service, of "a contagion and a fever." Sargent was holding her land in trust, which the company's directors did for "all the Lands belonging to Persons under his Agency." Believes it is proper for Sargent to re-convey the lands before he departs for the Western Territory, as soldiers often are exposed to "Accidents." Goes into the details of what she needs. Postscript says her eldest son sends his regards.
