Reports that Colonel [William Stephens] Smith has not presented Knox's draft to him yet, but when he does, it will be honored. Hopes that Samuel Shaw's brother will arrive this winter; "if he does it will be very advantageous to our speculations and retrieve his loss on the sale of the ship Massachusetts."
