The second, written a few days later, acknowledges the receipt of payment for those non-stationery items. Wright & Gill was a London stationery company operated by Thomas Wright and William Gill.

Indicates that he is sending Knox four trunks and a case of books, which have been bound in canvass because of the rising cost of leather. Longman was a London bookseller.
