George Tyler "made by the Judge [David Sewall] of the District and directed to be transmitted to the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States." Includes testimony of several witnesses regarding money, supposedly stolen by Peggy Martin. In her defense, Martin said she was invited to Peter Hubbard's for a beer, and while there a man asked her to sell him calico. For the calico, he paid her with the stolen note. Martin was acquitted.

Johnson being drunk the day he was inaugurated?" (Possibly referring to President Andrew Johnson, who was in office 1865-1869 and was inaugurated 15 April 1865, after the date of this letter.
