Mentions he purchased the materials for Knox's house at the best rate. Writes, "This said house now erecting at St. Georges [House] - Covers more ground - has more rooms in it, and larger rooms - more windows, doors - fire places, and is a much larger house in every respect than any other private house from Philadelphia to Passamaquody [sic] (Passamaquoddy, Maine)…I think the house too large and costly."
