Title: [Attesting to service of James Webster Bailey, describing his injury and medical care]
Robert Snell attests to the military service of James Webster Bailey, who marched from Maine and stayed in the encampment in Burlington, Vermont. Snell goes on to testify that during his service, Bailey suffered from lameness, which was attributed to a breach, and he was treated and monitored by a surgeon for the remainder of his military service. Based on context in the document, Bailey's injury may have been a hernia. There are four mathmatical equations written on the back of the document, which appear to be unrelated to the content of the document itself.
