The second part certifies that Henry Jackson has presented and read all of the necessary papers to Mr. and Mrs. Grégoire and that they have received money. Noted as dated 13 July 1792 and signed by Samuel Bradford. Third part certifies that Henry Jackson went with Samuel Bradford to deliver three bonds to Mr. and Mrs. Grégoire and asked for a warranty deed for the contract, signed by Levi Stutson.

Contains seven sections. The first section was written in Boston, on 31 October, to Henry Jackson from Jean-Baptiste de la Roche and Rosalie Bacler de Leval. They received correspondence from settlers who have threatened to leave the colony at Frenchman's Bay, Maine. They request land titles from Jackson, so that they can comply with the "just demand of [the] settlers." In the hand of Henry Knox. Creek chief McGillivray describes a history of the Creeks in Georgia. Begins by describing the differences between the Muskogees and the "Alabamas" who at one time lived together. The Alabamas were the "weakest" and were forced to move with their families while the Muskogee's continued to descend down the Mobile river. Continues to explain encounters among and between the various Indian nations up until the arrival of the English and [Governor] General [James] Oglethorpe. The date of the document is written in pencil, but the exact date has not been ascertained.

It contains an additional page where William tells Knox that he has heard from General Maunsell that Knox gave a grand one hundred person ball before leaving New York for Philadelphia and of several society marriages. Also notes he heard about French refugees "from the Islands" taking up residence in New York, the Dutch "being large purchasers" causing the "funds" to rise, and that "there had been a great influx of money from S. America and the Islands for Wheat."

This is a copy of the legal agreement negotiated by Henry Jackson and Royal Flint as agents for Henry Knox and William Duer for two million acres of land in the District of Maine, sold by a committee of the Massachusetts General Court. The names of the seller are left blank while the buyers are noted as "Henry Jackson & Royal Flint for themselves and associates." The document is divided into ten articles and proclaims that the buyers are getting a price of ten cents per acre to be payable in nine payments for a total of $243,802. Title: A short description of the lands between the rivers Penobscott and Schoodie in the District of Maine

Appears to be a copy of the description of lands in Maine sent to Henry Jackson and Royal Flint. There is also a secretarial signature of Bruce on page four. Claims it is less mountainous than most of Massachusetts. Describes fine fresh meadows and a number of small lakes, rivers, ponds, and swamps. As you get further from coast the rivers and swamps get larger in number and size.
