Later copy. Thanks him for the various letters and the news they conveyed. Says "I am persuaded that your good sense as well as inclination will lead you to unite cordially with General Wayne, and to promote a Spirit of harmony throughout the several corps." Mentions that Brigadier General Thomas Posey is delivering this letter. He is "a gentleman from whom I flatter myself, the service will derive solid benefit."
