Title: [Treasury receipt of the Society of Cincinnati, State of Massachusetts]
Certifies receipt of a payment of twelve shillings from Captain Constant Freeman for an "assessment levied on the Society of Cincinnati," which Crocker promised to transmit to Henry Jackson, treasurer of the Society of Cincinnati for the state of Massachusetts. For Jackson's receipt, see GLC04379.11. Crocker served as a paymaster, lieutenant, and captain for various Massachusetts regiments during the Revolutionary War. He identifies himself as the "Correspondent of Suffolk County" for the Society of Cincinnati for the state of Massachusetts.
