[.... ] Never were men more seriously alarmed than our republican friends - they do not hesitate to say that Mr. Burr is not fit for the office." Goodrich also asks for the opinion of local leaders. This document is a printed broadside put out by the Sacco-Vanzetti Defense Committee which attacks the exclusive judgment of Judge Webster Thayer and says in part: "The issue is not only for Massachusetts. It is for America. The world will judge American ideals of justice on this case." Dating based on mention of an execution date of 10 July, but they were actually executed on 23 August 1927. This document is a printed broadside that quotes a columnist from the New York World and reads, "What more can these immigrants from Italy expect? it is not every prisoner who has a President of Harvard University throw on the switch for him." Sacco and Vanzetti were executed on 23 August 1927. The quoted man is Heywood Broun.

This document is a copy of the Constitutional Telegraphe published in 1800. It reports on the "Triumph of Democracy," the funeral of Washington (with diagram of procession) and reports a speech of Gov. McKean. The top of the newpaper is decorated with a masthead of an eagle and the motto "We advocate the rights of man." The newspaper was active from 1799-1802 and supported Thomas Jefferson during his Presidency.

Celebrating his inevitable election over John Quincy Adams, "A triumph of the virtue of the people over the corrupting influence of executive patronage." Though the winner of the election was not official until December 2nd, enough states had held their elections for Jackson to be confident of victory.
