Includes copies of orders of the Supreme Executive Council, remonstrances addressed to the Council, and other papers upon the state's arrest of Quakers (including himself) on suspicion of Loyalist sympathies during the Revolutionary War, and their confinement without a hearing or trial. Presented to Eaton after his adventures with Prince Sidi Hamet, the Sultan of Tripoli who was disposed by his younger brother Yusuf Karamanli in 1804.
