Livingston, Peter Robert, fl. 1765-1790
Autograph letter signed
Title: to Robert Livingston, Jr. re: preparations for war
Peter Robert writes that preparations for war are being made with great "alacrity" in the City, and many individuals are employed in the task of sinking vessels and keeping ships away from New York. He complains that he is troubled by his family; and notes that their Congress has passed a resolution that agrees to allow George Washingston to vacate the city when ever he judges it appropriate. Docketed on verso.
