Inman arrived last night and was escorted home by General [John] Crane, and is "now under the care of an able Physician god grant he may be returned to his right mind." Is aware that Inman made a "very great sacrifice of property" in his New York business, and will see to it that "strict justice" be granted to Inman's creditors, who had him confined for debt and then allowed for his liberation. Will see to it that they receive the money owed them.

Asks that when Knox arrives in France he send thanks to Sharp, who lives in London. Requests that the communication be sent in way that does not expose Sharp "to political resentment." Also mentions that Harvard has not acquired any British publications since 1774 and asks that Knox attempt to procure some while in Europe. Wigglesworth was president of Harvard College.
