Van Horne writes that a Thomas Cardle has just arrived from London after a 16 year absence, and believes himself to be the rightful owner of one of Livingston's enslaved people. Van Horne therefore warns Livingston to keep a close eye on this enslaved person, as he believes Cardle is intent upon stealing him. Document marked as a copy. Docketed on address leaf.

Title: Propositions made to the Onondagas, Oneidas, Cayugas, and Senecas

Byrd informs the Indians that they have broken their covenant with the people of Virginia and Maryland when they invaded their land, abducted their servants, and fought with their Indian allies. Rather than go to war over this, Byrd asks that the Indians return the people they abducted, and call back any men that they sent down to Virginia and Maryland.

Robert Cambridge writes of his plans to purchase a large quantity of iron, and applauds his father for starting up his iron works again, as he believes that the price of iron will begin to rise. He also declares his support for his father's plan to purchase enslaved people to work at the furnace, but notes that they may be difficult to find. Docketed on address leaf.

Stevenson writes that Robert, Jr.'s enslaved person has just set out to return home, and was unable to leave earlier due to bad weather. He also notes that the enslaved person behaved particularly well while staying in Albany.

Peter Robert states: "The DeLanceys are striving their utmost to make our famaly ridiculous and to keep them out of all Posts of Honour Profit and are determined to oppose every thing and every Body that they support which is too hard to bear I could wish you lived here one year to judge of their carrying on-." He also makes arrangements to sell an enslaved person that has misbehaved.

The document relays information regarding the whereabouts of Thom, a man seeking emancipation from Robert Livingston. Thom claims that he was freed from Livingston in order to work freely. Hubbel mentions that Thom is travelling with two other Black men. It is not noted whether or not they are freemen. Docketed on verso.

The document states that Michael Elliott agrees with Robert Livingston, Jr. "to do all such work in the carpenter & wheel wright trade, as shall be required of him" at the forge at Maryburgh on the Manor of Livingston. Elliott also agrees to let his sons work on the forge, and to board freemen or enslaved people when asked. Also signed and sealed by Robert Livingston, Jr.

Estate inventory taken 17 February 1795 and filed on 13 March 1800. Document signed by Seth Marvin and John W. Tuthill in 1795, and by Samuel Strong and Richard Woodhull in 1800. No place of creation, but Woodhull was living in New Cornwall, Orange County, New York in 1790. Lists the items found on his farm. Includes: 25 oxen, 13 cows, 90 sheep, 10 hogs, and farm utensils worth 100 pounds. Also has 18 slaves. Announces that Mr. and Mrs. "Taft" (Craft) will be attending the county meeting and are sure to draw in a large crowd from "mere curiosity."
