Autograph letter signed
Title: to unknown recipient
A confidential letter written as President. Explains that he is at home recovering from fatigue due to travel, but will return to the city shortly. Refers to his friendly relationship with the current President of the Bank of the United States, Langdon Cheves, and says cryptically to the recipient that he will "promote your object, as far as in my situation it may be proper."
