Washington notes that he would have contacted Rodney earlier "had not the greater part of my time... been taken up in arranging & visiting the Hospitals, and Winter Cantonments of the Army."

Opposes a national bank because "Congress has not that power, (altho' I sincerely wish they had it exclusively)." With incomplete address leaf on verso.

Additional images include a view of the Roosevelt home in Oyster Bay, N.Y., and a photograph of the graveside service of Lt. Quentin Roosevelt after he was shot down near Chamery, France.

This includes "1 company in [South] Carolina, 1 in Delaware, 1 Rhode Island, 1 New Hampshire, Six in Massachusetts, and two in Connecticut."
