States that while Knox is only in possesion of about one third the land on the patent he is being assessed taxes for the entire property. Decrees that all taxes be suspended until the next month when Treasurer and others can decide how taxes should best be assessed on the land. Signed by Adams, Edward H. Rollins, the Speaker of the Massachusetts Senate, and John Avery, the Junior Secretary of the State Senate.

Says that Porter was appointed to the board of the Naval Commission (a post he held 1815-1822) by the President and that he is to report to the department at his earliest convenience. Porter was a successful naval commander during the War of 1812 and later led the Mexican Navy from 1826-1829.
