Title: to Robert Livingston, Jr. re: men for the iron works
Philip expresses some concern regarding an affair with Captain Arthur and the Sherrif, and fears he may be expected to pay some money as a result. He also discusses his difficulty in finding men to work at the newly constructed iron works, and how frustrating it is to see the new works left idle. Pages 2 & 3 are another letter dated 19 October 1742. Philip expresses joy and relief at the news of Capt. Boyd's escape from the enemy and subsequent arrival in Amsterdam.
