Image consists of two children holding hands. This item would have been sold to raise funds for the education of freed people.

Album with "A.A." initials embossed on front knob. Includes images of Lincoln, Mary Lincoln (2), Lincoln's Cabinet, generals, writers, emancipated people, prisoners of war, Confederate leaders, etc. Lacks one clasp. Due to album's fragility, pages removed from album 6/97 and boxed as album pages. 50 pages with four cartes per page, most labeled in a contemporary hand (and sometimes humorously, as in Jefferson Davis). Another copy of the New Orleans freed slaves is in GLB 75.
