Title: "The Augusta Story"
One pamphlet entitled, "The Augusta Story," dated July 1962 printed by the NAACP. Recounts the events that led to the indictment of nine black teenage boys for the first degree murder of Leslie Lee Luttes, a white boy who was driving through a black neighborhood terrorizing people by throwing rocks. Item states that the Pain College NAACP Chapter had organized play-ins to protest against segregated parks, these were followed by protests against biased news coverage of the events; fist fights; and increased harrassment by white teens.
