She also mentions that her husband has the first attack of gout. She adds a postscript asking for a description of her tract of land so that she can imagine it until she sees it.

She claims that he introduced a better system of agriculture and bettered the lives of the lower class but has not got his reward, and with the "distress that has afflicted his unfortunate country, he like many more good men have been obliged to leave his possessions, and seek our Asylum in this country"
