Depicts General Nathanael Green sitting in Mrs. Elizabeth Steele's Kitchen looking troubled after the Battle of Cowpens, South Carolina, January 17 1781. Inkeeper, Mrs. Elizabeth Steele offers General Green money and a hot meal to lift his spirits and support the revolution. On the left a dog sits next to the fireplace. Engraved by J.B.
