One engraving entitled "Incident in Cherry Valley-Fate of Jane Wells" dated 1856. Depicts the Cherry Valley massacre, November 11, 1778. Jane Wells pleads for her life as a unknown man tries in vain to protect her from the axe of a Native American. In the background a house is burned by Native Americans and loyalist, led by Major Walter Butler and Mohawk Chief Joseph Bryant.
