Discusses the Allen family's support for American interests, the British Commissioners' proposal that Vermont become a British Colony, and a general overview of highlights pertaining to Vermont and the Revolutionary War.

T.M. are the initials of Timothy Matlack, the clerk to the secretary at the second Continental Congress. As such, he was possibly the engrosser of the Declaration of Independence.

An interrogatory with eleven questions for a case before the Court of Chancery of Great Britain involving a dispute between the Penn family and the proprietors of Maryland about the border. Although unsigned, this document perhaps was prepared by (or for) Ferdinand John Paris, legal counsel in London for the Penn family. The land in question became modern Delaware. The dispute was resolved finally by the Mason-Dixon survey of 1763-1767.

This portfolio is a reprint of the original 1863 publication. The twenty-nine etchings by Volck were originally published under the name "V. Blada."
