Discusses the decision made concerning a deed to a tract of land. Mr. De la Roche and Madame de Leval "went unto Henry Jackson ... and demanded of him title, to a tract of Land ... " which he refused to do so, saying "he has already assigned to Mr. De La Roche & Madame De Leval, a sufficient reason in his letter of the instant, for not Delivering the deeds in question, a survey of the Lands not having yet taken place, and the delay of the survey being occasioned by the parties contemplating a new contract touching the Lands in Question." States "I certify that the above Acct. is a True Copy the original of which is filed on Record in this Office." Second dated 16 November. States "In addition to my Certificate of this date, I further Certify that that Balance of Three thousand four hundred and seventy six Dollars 39¼/100 has been accounted for by the Secretary of War as appear by Auditor Statement No. 1756 dated Nov. 16. 1791."
