The primary objective was the reduction of the enemy at Brest and the Crozon Peninsula. No casualties directly from enemy fire; however, Private Wesley Pickett was killed from the premature burst of a shell. Once the reduction was completed, they marched from September 28 to September 30 to the Western Front at Plouider, a town north the Western Front at Lesneven. Four officers received decorations.

A list of enemy materials the battalion destroyed and damaged are listed. Enemy action was focused on improving defense positions and sporadic bursts of artillery. Two casualties, but both were being treated for their injuries. Because of little enemy action, an emphasis was being placed on training. The Red Cross also visited to show a movie.
