Harwood, Jacob, fl. 1686-1695
Autograph letter signed
Title: to Robert Livingston re: business in London, updating news
Harwood, who apologizes for failing to write due to a long illness, writes to Livingston to continue their correspondence and catch Livingston up on the affairs of London. Harwood discusses the possibility of Livingston's son John being schooled in London. He is apologetic to hear that the Iroquois have made peace with the French, and concludes with the topic of trade, claiming that "small furs [receive] the best price" and discussing the difficulties of finding creditors to honor credit. Docketed on address leaf.
