Glad to hear from her that all is well. Was sent along with nine other men to unload some horses at the depot. Got dinner in town; did not return until dark. His captain has been looking to get into a new regiment. Samantha wrote that she wanted to come visit if he was not coming home any time soon. "If they come if you want to come," she is welcome to come. Warns that it is very hard to get down to his location because they would not be able to get close to the camp until dark.
