Letter says: "You wil inform Colonel Watson that he is to remain at Georgetown as Greens Army is before Camden, that he wil join Lord Cornwalis on his march if he posibly can get to him and if not he will wait at Georgetown til further orders." A strong statement signed by eight Indians showing alarm over white settlers moving onto their land, forbidding it in the future, making illegitimate leases null and void, and voicing hopes to "live in Quietness among one another without giving any offense to one another. Jacob Skekit and Bartholomew Calvin sign in full, and six others signed with marks. Brotherton is now known as Indian Mills in Burlington County, in Southern N.J.

Written by Galvez as the Governor of Louisiana who lead several expeditions against the British along the Gulf Coast in support of the American Revolution. Document lauding Gilberto Guillemard, his second in command and chief military engineer, who recently died under Galvez's command. Praises his second in command for assistance in defeating the British at Mobile, Pensacola, and along the Mississippi River. Written in an attractive italic clerical hand. Red wax seal is extent.

A-F4. Unopened and unsewn. Re: expedition on Pensacola. Galvez led Spanish forces against the British at Pensacola (which had been given with Florida to Britain in 1763) which he captured for Spain. The Floridas were returned to Spain in the peace of 1783 and only became part of the U.S. with the Adams-Onis Treaty of 1819. Boerum was Clerk of Kings County from 1750 until his death. In 1774 and 1775 he was a member of the Continental Congress. Signs with his mark.

Enclosing a letter from James Searle regarding possible attack by British fleet. On November 13, 1776 Searle spotted about one hundred British ships off the point of Sandy Hook at Long Branch, New Jersey. He immediately wrote to Thomas Wharton Jr., chairman of the Pennsylvania Council for Safety and warned him that the ships seemed to be heading southward. The letter caused great worry in Congress.
