Any further information will be given by Bingham. Says he is too unwell to write in detail, but "the last contract is so circumstanced that it must be returned by us." Says Henry Jackson is going to New York and is empowered to handle Flint's situation.

Has endeavored in vain to get William Bingham to change the bond into a note for Flint. Bingham would have been willing to accede to the request "had it been for your own [Flint's] accommodation but he knows to the contrary." Reports that Bingham dislikes having his notes handed about. Encloses the $2,500 bond for Flint (not included). It seems that Flint was in debtors prison at this time (see GLC02437.05884).

The third estimate was tolerably accurate of those items it comprehended, but he has not had enough time to fully understand it. Noted as copied on 5 December 1857.
