Written by Peirce as Knox's agent in Boston to Secretary of War Knox. Recently received a letter from a friend in reference to "Fowles Land." Says the buildings mortgaged stood on land that was not Fowles's. The buildings were sold to pay the ground rent. Says the land could sell for 150-200 dollars as it is in a good part of town. Wants to know if it should be sold immediately. Claims that Mr. Parsons will visit him tomorrow to discuss the Cooper Claim. Sends latest information on claims on the Flucker estate.
