Wants to send a petition to the legislature, but needs to wait for Mr. [Nathan] Dane to arrive so he can gain his support. Did not want to risk sending it without Dane being present. Sends a break down of the taxes, which amount to £653.16.2. Mentions the dry weather and crop prices. Reports that Judge Wilson, who is 55, is deeply in love with Miss Gray, who is 18 or 19.
