Title: to Captain Donnell
Writes to Captain [possibly Nathaniel] Donnell to argue on behalf of a John Moder, a soldier who serves under Donnell. Moder recently deserted, but he came back, which allowed him to receive a free pardon for his desertion. Prior to this event, he bargained with a Corporal Kelly, Corporal Woodstock, and Colonel Popkin for his depreciation notes, and they were sent to Captain Donnell. According to Moder, Captain Donnell will not give Moder his notes because of his desertion, even though he has been pardoned.
