Knox, Secretary at War, writes to General Hand, a former Continental Congressman. States that William Henry, son of deceased Continental Congressman William Henry, asked the War Office to dispose of his father's military and ordnance stores in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Knox hopes to acquire the stores for use of the United States military. Encloses a return of the stores (not included). States that some musket cartridges were recently delivered to Captains Casper Shaffner and John Weitley without proper authority.
