"Wedgewood's Improved Copy Book." Letterpress copy book from Europe to Archer's family and friends. The index of letters copied on the inside front cover indicates a much longer list of correspondence [and a longer journey] than is presently contained in the copy book. Index includes 39 letters dating 1878/08/02-1878/12/05. Also, includes one loose sheet of paper reading: "Kirkwood's book on Filtration contains descriptions of the following water works (Contents)". Blue and white printed paper covers, product label, 12.5 x 9 cm pasted to front cover, tissue paper leaves.

Musical catalogue in the library of the Richmond Mozart Association interleaved with information about the members themselves, a list of instruments owned and loaned by the Association. Notation on page one: "Southern Theatre Co., Mr. Jno G. Walker Prest - Sold the whole library to Adolph Thilom Jany 1898 for $100 ERA = delivered to him this day Jany 23d/98". Several issues of the Association's paper - variously, The Mozart Index, The Keynote, The Baton - are included in the front of the volume. Lists clothing shipped on board Captain Hardie's ship, Olimpe, at Brest, France 15 June 1781. A separate list indicates artillery, ordnance, and camp equipage on board the Cybelle, ordnance stores on the ship Ruise, and medicines and instruments on board the Active. Shipped by order of [John] Laurens, special minister to France.

Underneath chart, a note indicates that one six pounder was surrendered at Saratoga while another "was taken at the storm of the British Lines near Sarratoga" [sic]. Docket appears to be in the hand of Samuel Shaw.

Written in the hand of Shaw, Henry Knox's aide-de-camp. Created at an artillery park at or near New Windsor, where Knox was located in June 1781. Certifies that Post has served as Captain of Artillery Artificers stationed at Fredericksburgh, New York, since 11 January 1777, and receives fifty dollars per month in pay. Asserts that Post is entitled to his depreciation in pay.
