In the collection of Joseph B. Gorsuch, Captain and Provost Marshal 13th Corps, Army of the Tennessee. Letter written in pencil. The author states "I have taken a fever from the poison of the southern malaria and become very weak. I am getting better now I have no idea when I will be able to go now, so it would barely be worthwhile for you to remain on my account... Tell Col [Warmouth] that I tried to write a letter to the General but was unable..."
