Title: to Johnston Livingston re: trouble caused by the cold weather

Matilda writes that the severe cold of the winter has had ill-effects on everyone's health, and presently hinders her ability to write. She also describes a new attitude of disaffection for society life, and tells Johnston of a recent visit to the zoological institute with her husband.

Title: College bill sent to John S. Livingston for his son Johnston Livingston

The bill lists the charges for Johnston's education for the session commencing 3 January and ending 28 March 1834. Charges include tuition, room-rent, use of college library, servants' hire, printing, and fines for absences from prayers and recitations. The document also gives Johnston's scores for attendance, conduct, and performance in the courses Mechanics, and French. The remainder of the document states the college's offical course of studies, standard payments, and the rules and regulations.

Apparently written by a sister of Johnston Livingston. She explains that she has been busy cleaning and repairing the house, which has kept her from writing a proper letter. She also writes about her desire to travel out of the country, and also describes a magic show she plans to see the following day.

Title: Boston gazette: Supplement. [May 12, 1766]

Prints a scriptural parody critical of the Stamp Act (p. 1), a letter "from a North-American, now on the Island of Barbados" passionately denouncing the Stamp Act (p. 2), an extract from a letter from London claiming Benjamin Franklin had assured Parliament that the repeal of the act would relieve tensions, and another extract on the fate of nations and liberty (p. 3). Also contains many advertisements. Benjamin Edes and John Gill, the publishers of the Boston Gazette, were members of the anti-British faction in Boston.

Kiger was soldier in 12th New Jersey Volunteers and after the war was an active member of the GAR. Diaries contain a great deal of information of Kiger's life and activities, but it appears that he saw little military action. The diaries cover the period 1859-1864, 1867-1870 and 1872-1873. The collection also includes an 1866 Masonic By Laws, and 3 soldier documents.
