A large Rebel force was seen on the other side of the river, so Company K was sent down to investigate. After two hours a messenger came to tell them that they were approaching. He tells another story of how he and another soldier went to a farmhouse for some breakfast and discovered a couple of slaves and a grumpy old man. Written at Camp Boston
