Warrant ordering them to arrest Thomas Gilpin, Thomas Afflick, Charles Jervis, William David Smith, Thomas Pike, and Charles Eddy. The individuals were prominent Quakers, who were suspected of Loyalist sympathies. Signed as the Chief Justice of Pennsylvania, one day after the Battle of Brandywine.

Appoints his wife Lucy as sole executor, leaving the management and division of assets to her judgment. Attests to his "unclouded belief" in the existence of "the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and omnipresent head of the Universe." Also expresses his belief in "the durability and immortal existence of my mind or soul -and that it is bound on an infinite voyage throughout the immensity of the Universe." Written four years before his death.
