Due to album's fragility, pages removed from album 6/97 and boxed as album pages. 50 pages with four cartes per page, most labeled in a contemporary hand (and sometimes humorously, as in Jefferson Davis). Another copy of the New Orleans freed slaves is in GLB 75.

Douglas and Simon Cameron among others. Recollections focus on service during 1862. On Antietam says, "From a lack of manly constancy and tenacious intrepidity in some of the generals, and a lack of Ilan in the soldiers, what might have been made a conclusive victory was at best a drawn battle."
