Vinch attributes a large part of the success of the invasion to decieving the German's into believing that the Allied troops were planning a massive attack in Calais, as opposed to Normandy.

A document containing instructions for polling officals in Greenwood and Itta Bena, Mississippi on how to handle unregistered African American applicants at polling stations. Reciting Section 3114, Miss. Code 1942, calls on polling officials to prevent the disruption of other voters and to "be careful to follow the law," to prevent the success of any law suits that may be brought against them by the Attorney General of the United States.
