Writes to his sister. Two regiments from Damuth's brigade are moving to Devil's Bluff. Discusses the camp they will set up, like the one they built while staying in St. Charles. Does not anticipate much fighting, and thinks the regiment will only "run into a few bushwackers." The election has passed with Lincoln as the winner, but McClellan received eighty-eight votes.
