Lucy transmits this letter with the Thybous, along with a barrel of beef, "being told that good beef cannot be purchased in your island." Is eager to hear from Sarah after the "dog days." Remarks that Henry is visiting their lands (in present-day Maine). Sends her regards to Sarah's children.

Knox says that the iron can likely be procured in Boston, but might be procured in New York, on three months's credit. Declares that it would be an unfortunate circumstance if the ship should suffer for want of iron. Offers to help procure it in New York if Parkman cannot in Boston.

Document is unsigned, but docket declares that the statement was given to John Lowell. Statement declares that Zachariah and Bethiah Fowle mortgaged land in Charlestown, Massachusetts to Thomas Flucker in 1750. Samuel Henley purchased the land in 1756 and paid off Mr. Flucker's mortgage. Provides some information about the account. Declares that "Mr. Henley when alive stated these facts to Genl Knox in 1789, who was so well satisfied of the truth of the statement, that he promised to execute the necessary papers when he should come on to Boston."
