Title: Rejection of the petition of Petrus Polfer

The manuscript explains that in 1795, Petrus Polfer petitioned the Assembly to challenge the rights of the original proprieters of the Manor of Livingston. After investigating the charges, the Assembly concluded that the proprieter's had been in possession of the Manor for over 100 years, and were the rightful proprieters. The manuscript therefore declares that the prayer of the petitioner ought not to be granted.

In the law suit, Reyer Schermerhorn charged that Karel Hamsen Toll defamed his character by speaking ill of him in the Dutch tongue, not realizing that Schermerhorn could understand. Schermerhorn therefore sued Hansen for slander.

The manuscript states that since the death of the Earl of Bellomont, William Smith has claimed to be his successor, but has only hindered the work of the Assembly. Smith has delayed the realization of Bellomont's work, and the Assembly calls for his greater cooperation so that they may accomplish their work.
