A 14-year-old girl had been assaulted, and a Black man was accused of shooting the girl and her father. He was arrested and kidnapped by 75 men from the jail and lynched him in the public square. Also includes news of anarchists in Paris, France; the layoffs of approximately 400 employees of the Santa Fe Railroad shop; and baseball scores.

Recounts the events that led to the indictment of nine black teenage boys for the first degree murder of Leslie Lee Luttes, a white boy who was driving through a black neighborhood terrorizing people by throwing rocks. Item states that the Pain College NAACP Chapter had organized play-ins to protest against segregated parks, these were followed by protests against biased news coverage of the events; fist fights; and increased harrassment by white teens.

Back side consists of summaries of efforts led by the NAACP, with marginalia notes likely written by Henry L. Moon, public relations director. Efforts mention include housing, voting rights, fair employment practices, equal treatment in the court of law, travel restrictions through parts of the south due to segregation, lynching, education, and access to public parks.

Contains recommendations for practices for a new program and estimated costs of taxes and grants for research programs and projects.
