Writes to his uncle about Baltimore at the beginning of the Civil War. Informs that he sold Cheston's NY funds and will send the gold as soon as he can. Reports that he talked with someone at the Savings Bank who said the run on the bank had fizzled and that they will be receiving deposits again soon. He feels that a majority would vote for a Secession Ordinance if one is brought up.
